So here’s the deal … I try to be transparent in all I do, in hopes that my experiences can help someone else!
I’m nearing 50-years old and I’ve done a poor job managing my money. As an entrepreneur, I failed miserably at setting up options for retirement.
No savings. No 401k. No investments.
When I say I failed miserably at planning for this, that is not an understatement.
I started Move Abroad and Thrive because I realize I must get my finances together over the next 10-15 years … I personally don’t want to be hunched over the computer trying to keep abreast of what’s happening in the digital marketing space, lol …
I’ve done this type of work for the last 20+ years and I don’t want to do it in my 60s or 70s.
Even though I’ve done poorly in managing my money, I do make a lot thanks to the skillsets and talents God blessed me with.
So instead of staying in the United States, I reasoned I could drastically cut my expenses by 50%-65% simply by moving to another country where my US dollar goes further.
Those savings can be used towards aggressively saving and investing.
And not only that, my quality of life in some of these foreign lands can allow me to live extremely well… Better than I was in the States on much less.
So that’s what this site is about … Traveling abroad and discovering and highlighting places where one could move to and thrive!
