Whenever we travel and use Google translate, I will have Google translate what I want to say and then I try to read it and speak the words myself, rather than just having the other person read it. If they can’t understand me, then I let them read it. This will help you practice speaking the language and help you learn how to say common phrases. And be sure to do it over and over again. You’ll come to realize there’s joy in repetition 😀
