You’ll pay more or less as the pesos/dollar fluctuates. For example, during the good times my rent typically will be roughly $625 ($12,500 pesos). Now, due to the weak dollar, that same $12,500 pesos will come out of my US bank account as $663.62 (as of today). When I paid rent about 2 weeks ago, $675 came out of my account.
When it’s good, it’s good. When it’s bad, it’s bad… You take the bad with the good… When the dollar is strong, it’s a good time to pay up that rent a couple of months in advance. That’s what a lot of people do. Regardless to whats going on, if your rent is 10,000 pesos, you pay 10,000 pesos regardless. That’s the price in the contract. Great question!
