Merida is freakin' awesome. Rather than just describing it, we'll take you on a journey through Merida's vibrant city. You'll get to see the charming colonial architecture, explore bustling markets, and visit the spots where residents gather to dine, shop, and socialize.
Along the way, we'll share insights into the cost of living, quality of life, and daily rhythms of the city - helping you envision how Merida could fit into your own lifestyle and retirement plans. This is your chance to go beyond the stories and statistics, and discover Merida's true character and potential for yourself.
Wanna live in the suburbs? We'll take you there to see it. Wanna stay downtown (Centro), we can explore that too... We can customize this tour to fit your specific needs.
Oftentimes, our clients want to look at properties for sale, or see a few rentals so they can get an idea of what they can get for their money. Wanna see a couple of beach towns near Merida? We can do that too.
Here's a brief list of expectations so you're not thrown off:
- This type of tour is not to take you to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, pick-up meds, house shopping (unless you choose the option to see rentals/sales).
- We don't do touristy trips (Cenotes, pyramids, other cities, etc.), but if you wish to see what it's like to live in Progreso, or another beach-town (within 20-miles), we'll go.
- These daily tours last no longer than 4-hours (we just added a 2-hour option to fit more budgets)
- If you're rude, abusive or offensive to locals, the trip ends immediately, and there will be no refunds. We ask that you simply be courtesy to others, no matter how frustrated you get (it's easy to get frustrated when you don't know the language - it happens more often than you think, which is why I bring it up here).

*Out of this fee, I also pay real estate agents for their time. Since you're not renting or buying, but solely looking to get an idea of what you can get for your money, I feel it's only fair to compensate them for their time.
